Shawano had two railroads, including a Chicago & North Western Railway (C&NW) secondary line and a Soo Line secondary line. Today, the former C&NW has been largely abandoned and reused as a trail, while the former Soo Line is owned by the Fox Valley & Lake Superior Rail System.
