Clinton once had a Chicago & North Western Railway (C&NW) mainline, as well as a Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad (Milwaukee Road) mainline. Today, the C&NW is owned by Union Pacific Railroad, while the Milwaukee Road is owned by CPKC.
