Niagara once had both a Chicago & North Western Railway (C&NW) branch line and a Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad (Milwaukee Road) mainline. Today, the C&NW had been abandoned, while the Milwaukee Road is operated as part of the Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad (E&LS).
