Necedah once had a Chicago & North Western Railway mainline and a Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad (Milwaukee Road) branch line. Today, the former C&NW is owned by the Union Pacific Railroad, while the former Milwaukee Road is owned by Canadian National Railway.
