Clear Lake once had a Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad (Milwaukee Road) secondary line and a Iowa Traction Railway (IATR) mainline. Today, the former Milwaukee Road is owned by CPKC, while the IATR remains in operation.
