Railroad Bridges in Grand Boulevard, Chicago, Illinois
Grand Boulevard is a community area in Chicago, located south of downtown. The Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railway (Rock Island)/New York Central Railroad operated a mainline along the western border of the community and the Chicago Junction Railway (CJ) operated a line at the north end of the community. Today, Metra owns the former Rock Island, and the CJ has largely been abandoned. In addition, the CTA "L" operates the Green Line through the community.
