Jefferson, Iowa

Jefferson was the crossroads of a north/south Milwaukee Road branch line, and an east/west Chicago & North Western mainline.

Today the MILW is abandoned, and heading south out of town is the Raccoon River Valley Trail. The C&NW is now the Union Pacific mainline, hosting almost 100 trains/day on a good day.
