This bridge is a little bridge over the La Crosse River near downtown La Crosse. The bridge has been referred to as a "Dinky Bridge", a reference to the size of the bridge.
Built in 1957, the bridge was built reusing two 50-foot type "C3" girder spans, set onto timber piles and approached by trestles. It is unknown where these spans came from, but they were likely fabricated around 1900.
Railroads often reused spans to save money, particularly on branch lines.
Overall, the bridge is in good condition. It was converted to trail usage in 2015.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
