This large deck girder bridge carries the Sheboygan Riverwalk Trail across the Sheboygan River in Sheboygan.
The bridge was built in 1947 to replace an older deck truss swing span. As a result, the present bridge utilizes the old swing pier; although has no swing mechanism.
The main span consists of a pair of deck girder spans. These are approached by I-Beam spans on either end.
The bridge rests on a combination of stone substructures and steel towers.
The bridge was rebuilt in 2013 to carry pedestrian traffic.
Overall, the structure is in great condition. The author has ranked it as being locally significant, due to the newer age and the common nature of the bridge.
