A brief history of the Minneapolis & St. Louis mainline from Minneapolis to Mason City:

06/26/21

This bridge is the 4th in the series of 12 bridges, and the seventh over Sand Creek.

This bridge is located next to a wayside rest along MN-21.
The bridge also sees much use from local kids, looking for fun.

The bridge is very scenic, being located down in the bluffs. There are huge limestone bluffs on the west side.

This bridge was built 1944, but the abutments are 1874, with the south one being encased in cement.
The northern abutment resembles a stone pier.
The photo above is looking from the south bank.
