Jamestown was located at the crossroads of a Great Northern branch line, a Northern Pacific mainline and the Midland Continental Railroad.
Today, the GN is ownwed by Red River Valley & Western Railroad, the NP is a BNSF mainline and the Midland Continental Railroad is largely abandoned.
