Iron County, Michigan

Iron County is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is named for the abundance of iron in the area.

The seat is Crystal Falls, while the largest city is Iron River.

It borders Houghton, Baraga, Marquette and Dickinson Counties in Michigan, as well as Florence County in Wisconsin.

Main highways include US-2, US-141, M-69 and M-73.
