Howard County, Iowa

Howard County is a county in North East Iowa. It was named for John Mitchell, an Irish activist.
The county seat and largest city are both Cresco.

The county borders Winneshiek, Chickisaw, Floyd and Mitchell Counties in Iowa; as wel as Mower and Fillmore Counties in Minnesota.

Main Highways include US-218, IA-9 and IA-139.
