Located south of Dakota City, this large deck girder bridge crosses the E. Fork Des Moines River.
Built in 1902, the bridge has not been extended like other bridges on this route. The bridge runs at a significant skew.
Currently, the bridge consists of five deck girder spans, set onto stone substructures. This structure is typical for this route and the Iowa Division. The bridge has since become part of the Three Rivers Trail.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in excellent condition.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
