Aitkin County, Minnesota

Aitkin County a county in northeast Minnesota. It is located west of Duluth.

The county was named for William Alexander Aitken, a fur trader.
The seat and largest city is Aitkin.

The county borders Itasca, St. Louis, Carlton and Pine counties.

Main Highways include US-2, US-169, MN-18, MN-27, MN-47 and MN-65.
